Terms of use

1. The service

Spot Auction is a read-only research SaaS: catalog search, lot detail, sale-history archive, watches, notes, shipping/fee estimates, and optional paid plans. We republish auction data from third-party sources. We are not Copart, IAAI, or their affiliate. We do not conduct auctions, transfer title, arrange shipping as a carrier, or place bids.

Listings can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Always verify critical facts on the original auction platform before you bid or buy.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be an adult with capacity to contract. The product is intended for professional vehicle dealers and similar businesses.

Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us at privacy@spot.auction if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Plans and payment

Some features require a paid subscription billed via Stripe. Prices, limits, and billing intervals are shown on the pricing page at checkout.

Unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. You can cancel renewal in the account area; access continues until the end of the paid period.

We may change plans with reasonable notice. Taxes may apply.

4. Acceptable use

Do not scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or resell the service or its data feeds without written permission. Do not bypass access controls, share logins as a public feed, or use the service to infringe others’ rights.

We may suspend accounts that harm the platform, other users, or our data-provider contracts.

5. Intellectual property

The Spot Auction interface, trademarks, and original compilation are ours or our licensors’. Auction photos and lot facts remain with their respective owners. You receive a limited, revocable licence to use the product for your internal research.

6. No warranty

The service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that data is complete, that estimates match a future invoice, or that the site will be uninterrupted. Calculator outputs are illustrative.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for lost profits, missed auctions, bidding decisions, or indirect damages. Our aggregate liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Nothing excludes liability that cannot be limited (including mandatory consumer rights in the EU/EEA, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, or Germany).

8. Privacy

Personal data is processed as described in the Privacy policy. Cookie choices are described on the Cookies page.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Spot Auction. Mandatory protections of your country of residence remain unaffected, including Georgia’s consumer and personal-data rules, EU consumer law, and equivalent rules in Kazakhstan and Armenia.

Courts of competent jurisdiction at the operator’s establishment hear disputes, unless a mandatory local forum applies to you as a consumer.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms by publishing a new version on this page. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where law requires explicit consent.
